talk的用法

    talk用作名词时，有交谈，商谈，非正式的演讲和讲话等含义。用作动词时有说话，用语言表达（某事）等含义。

    一.用作名词    1.交谈，商谈，谈论，会谈

    The officers held a long talk about the price control and pay rise.

    官员们就价格调控和工资上涨进行了长时间的讨论。

    2.谈话，（尤指）空谈；谣言，闲话

    His talk was evocative of the bygone days.

    他的谈话令人回忆起往昔的时日。

    3.非正式的演讲或讲话

    I 'd like to have a talk with him about something urgent.

    我有点急事要跟他谈。

    4.（尤用以构成复合词）说话的方式

    He gave cheerfulness to the feast by pleasant talk.

    他谈笑风生，给宴会带来愉快的气氛。

    二.用作动词    1.说话；谈话

    Don't talk to him, he is out of sorts

    别跟他说话，他在发脾气。

    A man may talk like a wise man and yet act like a fool.

    一个人可能说话像个聪明人，而行为像个大笨蛋。

    2.讨论（某事）；谈论；洽谈

    Preachers can talk but never teach, uless they practise what they preach.

    说教的人不身体力行，就只能空谈，不能起教育作用。

    3.用语言表达（某事）；说（某事）

    We have been beating about the Bush on the matter for so long and it's time to talk turkey.

    在这外问题上我们兜了这么长时间的圈子了，现在也该说点儿真格儿的了。

    4.用（某种语言）说；说（某种语言）

    She can talk Spanish.

    她能讲西班牙语。

    5.提供情况；招供

    Well, I feel rather disinclined to talk about the accident.

    嗯，我很不愿意谈这次事故。
